I have a 2008 MINI Cooper S with no engine mods. Is a RMW Tune something I should consider? Would I experience a noticeable difference in performance? I have very little understanding of how my MINI works so I would appreciate any input.

 

Yes a Tune is the most bang for the buck on a turbo motor. But you should also get the rest. CAI, FMIC, Turbo Back (Cat Back First). But if you only have money for one, then the tune will make the most difference.

 

There is no RMW tune for the R56 yet.

I doubt there was any inconvenience.
I just want to make sure a fellow NAMer gets all the input he can regarding his concern. Now that the question is in the right area, people in the know re: 2nd gens, can chime in.

 

I traded a few posts with Jan in the R53 threads earlier today about the R56. He stated the RMW R56 Tune will be available around early November with prices slightly to moderately higher than the R53 tune because of the ECU. Hope I could help.

I too am waiting for all these alternatives. Jan is one of those I would be most certainly considering.
