Yes indeed...any updates? I don't care about NVH, so no need to make it all comfy cozy.

I have one almost finished and about ready to put into my car that, IMO, is superior.

Too bad vendor fees are ridiculous or I would sell a few.

I had mine replaced today. The SA said that MINI hasn't updated the mount to resolve the leak issue. I think BMW is keeping the faulty mount in production until all the '05 and '06 run out of warranty to make their $ back.

I have a dumb question. I can see where mine leaked on the frame rail, but I don't notice anything different about the way the car drives, or any vibration. What does the failed mount usually do? Should I be experiencing some weird, excess vibration?

Once the oil leaks out completely, the rubber bumper on top of the mount will be sandwiched with no space below it. Then, when you go over a bump, you will hear a thump on the right side of the car as the engine drops back down on the mount.

Ah, add me to the list of "people who would buy the first batch of these mounts, regardless of the NVH impact."
Thanks,

We are testing the 3rd version and think we have all the issues resolved. We are making a few for a wider test, yes we have all the testers lined up, and hope to have it ready to ship to customers by late May. Thanks Dustin

Update, after weeks of delays we will not have one of the new mounts to show you at MOTD. We don't want to rush this part. Hang in there we'll start shipping them soon and get a full report here on NAM. Thanks Dustin

My 05 just went out of warranty at the end of March. While taking a ride with the mechanic to listen for a rattle fix and to make sure everything was A OK, he explained to me that all warranty replacements (such as Motor mounts, clutches, flywheels etc etc) are covered for two years after install from defects !

My 06' MCS' mount had a catastrophic failure on my way home from work, there was fluid everywhere. No indications, no leaks... just BAMB! Followed by ridiculous vehicle shudder. I fear the hydraulic fluid has soaked the belt.

I am foaming at the mouth to get a non-hydraulic engine mount! I feel like a kid again, impatient, filled with anticipation to get a new toy! Sign me up for one.

I just encountered the same problem. I have a 2004 MCS. From what I have read, this model should have a bushing mount?!? Definatly black goo coming out of the seam of the mount.

Where is the aftermarket?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I was wondering... When I get on the gas, then let off I have been hearing this click, clunk sound. This has been going on much before the actual black goop coming out. Do you think this was the noise?
