Quietest 285whp/217.5tq M45 in the world

wow... just wow........ this new exhaust is so quiet it's scary

only difference from Danny's last run of 279whp
gained over 5ft lbs of torque everywhere and 6whp

did I mention its sounds like a JCW exhaust?

I'll post dyno sheets later

Jan, some basic questions:
1. Is this exhaust for the race header, or the shorty?
2. What is the basic design, got some pics?
3. Please compare more to JCW, or any other.
4. Show us those graphs please.

Sorry if you have answered some of these in other threads.

Congratz on the numbers Jan.

Did Danny have your other exhaust on his Mini before this setup ? So you made the exhaust quieter and it makes more hp and tq ? I am no expert, but how do you achieve that ? Don't you restrict an exhaust system so it stays quiet but then give up power at the same time ?

This post is worthless (well, not to Jan ) without pics, sheets, and video...

Hmmmm... so you're telling me I may be able to have it all... performance AND my marriage? Wow.... since when did you decide to become a marriage counselor instead of your usual role as a homewrecker?

If this plays out, my wife and I may both love you.

My accountant, not so much.

ok, first off let me get the correct number 284.2whp I heard Danny call out 285whp and that's what was posted.... don't worry... we will find the .8 as we only made 4 changes to the old map

as you all know I have been perplexed with the whole sound issue. Seriously, these cars are loud when making 230whp+

Now I have no idea how much this exhaust is going to cost but I can tell you these mufflers were HAND MADE from our OWN design. They are one off mufflers currently. Don't ask how I did it because this is probably patent material. We pretty much tried about everything to get the cars quieter from off the shelf mufflers and nothing really worked like I wanted or made the power. As the old saying goes, if you want it done right do it yourself
I still haven't downloaded the software file for the dynapck as I am going to cars and coffee now. But here are some pictures of the record setting exhaust Did I mention NO resonators?

Smokey Yunick did an exhuast years ago for the small block chevy that involved a crossover pipe about a foot behind the header and out back were four cadillac mufflers. Very quiet (up to a point) and low restriction. Plenty of HP!

I can't believe you took the car over and did dyno runs after we talked. I told you it may make more power. I'm glad you keep testing the water for more power and better products. Now ------------ you'll never get any sleep. Well maybe an hour or two. Get to work. The orders are coming in.

They will not be cheap. They're custom made and very expensive. But we can always hope for production made one's.

Hmm, a quiet exhaust you say? Now you'll be able to hear the Supercharger even more instead of the exhaust itself.

Here is another dyno sheet of the new header/exhaust
you can see its got about 5.5 ft lbs of torque everywhere. It goes to about 11 ft. lbs in the higher hp range... truly phenomenal considering how much we are ringing out of the M45. This car is an experimental car with parts that are not yet out, they are on the Rotrex car and this car. As you can see there is much gained on these setups. This exhaust on Longboards Rotrex car will probably put it in the 315whp range.

Isn't that the truth?
Jan, do you take trades? I have a good shorty header.
How about you Larry, don't you have a long header to trade?
