Paul/Jan- what is the Mary head? Is it for a specific application...like drag/turbo/etc... Was it just the first Jesus head ever built? I am a little confused...

Mary is Jesus' mother...so come on people...she's the mother of all heads...or is this the former fireballed car?

at least that's my guess...Next will be the god head...and that one will be on the 6 sec mini top fuel dragster...

Tuls,

You said that the crank is stock...so does this engine have a stock stroke? just curious since I assumed it was one of jan's strokers.

Hubies head was on the East coast

two totally different heads made by 2 different head porters

The car is a 1.6. The crank is stock. The block is stock. the Rods and pistons are aftermarket forged ones for strength. When yer running 44+ lbs of boost. Stock pistons and rods are not the thing you wanna worry about. LOL

44+ lps of boost is insane . Based off the dyno chart that thing must hit extremely hard. The speed at which it reaches redline must be crazy fast. I bet hitting that shift just right must be really hard.

Well considering we can spool 30 lbs of boost sitting still it just kicks yer ****. You'd be suprised what you get used to. Also we are spining the motor to 9k + so there's plenty of time. LOL

oh yeah! As you can see on the dyno we went to 8500, but sometimes durring racing you need that extra on the big end rather than shifting just carry it out some more. :D

I have hit 9400 in my street car before. :D good times. Why I love the 1.6! REVS BABY!

Both use the same valvetrain / valve sizes

One is the most powerful supercharged head at 299.7whp

One is the most powerful head at 635 whp, cant believe its double the above

Totally differnt applications but still 1.6 and MINI

You can't believe that with a GT3582R Turbo, Carrilo Rods, Motec EMS, huge custom intake manifold, Aeromotive fuel system running C-16 race gas and over 44+ lb's of boost can make double my HP at 9500 RPM's .

And here I thought you were more knowledgeable about Mini's then me Paul

I got a different sense from his post. He did acknowledge two totally different applications. And 635whp is a mind blowing number.

The Brits do have a dry sense of humor.
