Track Diva FTW!

My Mini is still pretty much in virgin stage. I haven't molested her with too many mods yet.

Whats the deal with the Brisk Silver Racing Plugs? I've heard of a few guys running them. What's you impression of these over the NGK's or Denso's? Where did you pick these up? Congrats on the numbers

I really can't give you a good assessment of the Brisk plugs since I added them right before we rolled the car into the dyno. I know Longboard has praised them. I think Jan has seen a 10 whp gain on another car, but you would need to ask them about it.

my car was pinging on brand new NGK BKR7's, no matter how we gapped them. We swapped in the Brisk plugs and the car put down 239whp in 87F temps.

What's the part number you've used on the Brisk Silver's? I was going to go back to JCW plugs, but might give these a try.

Thx

A one range colder would be a DR14YS
Two range is DR12YS
Stock is DR15YS

Are there any opinions on their Turbo Evolution or Racing Iridium plugs?

This is just simply unbelievable,,,,

You pretty much have the same RMW upgrades as what Longboard had before he went with the Rotrex but yet you have attained 267 whp!!!!

Well, the difference is that Longbaord didn't have the cam, header/catback and the inter-cooler you have, but to go from his 234 or so whp at the time to your 267 whp, a gain of 33 whp, with those additional mods (cam, header, exhaust) is just amazing and mind spinning.

I am just completely at a shock as to the WHP numbers and feel like a lost cause with my 220 whp,,, .

Could the cam, header, exhaust and the new map/harnesses make a difference of additional 33 whp??

Jan,,, if your reading this, I am trying to set another tuning session in the San Jose with Goodies shop. I want those numbers this time around darn it,,, Better work your magic on mine, I don't care what it takes,,,

Matt will bring the beer and I'll get the Italian food you loved.

My god, sounds like they gave Red Rum MINI a "white glove test".

Seems with all the real crime we have today, our first line of defense would have other issues to deal with.......out here if an officer acted like that, he would most likely be a newbie cop, and would certainly be chastized by his bretherin officers for acting in such a manner ......

Glad to hear it turned out ok though

I Always loved the little "ReD-Rum MINI", but I had no idea it was owned by a ..........grrrrrrlll Just kiddin. (She's a classic, don't let her get away!)

Let me make your head spin more. The only difference in parts from the 238 whp to the 267 whp was the GP intercooler, the Brisk Plugs, new wiring harness, and new MAP sensors. We already had the cam and other parts on the car before. It was the sensors and harness that really made the difference.

Thanks for the compliment. Actually she just doesn't own it, she also tracks it and runs some really respectable times:

Actually I felt the officer was being really cool considering what she did. I think he was trying to find an easy "fix it" ticket for her which is why he was asking about the tail lights. Hers are nightshade painted so it wouldn't be as easy as peeling off the tint. He really gave her a break because he liked the car and she was getting it tuned at the same place he took his Honda. He really could have taken her in for a reckless if he had wanted to.

Well as I recollect, Longboard didn't have the RMW cam or the header and also had a stock IC when his car put down actually about 231 at the wheel. Of course Longboard and or Jan can correct me on this. In any case, great results.

Are the wiring harness and the Map sensor an optional upgrades or you had to change them due to prior problems?

Oops, sorry, misunderstood what you were saying. I thought you meant that we added the header and cam recently. The wiring harness and MAP sensors were changed because we were having a lot of random misfires, limp modes and check engine lights. After they were all replaced, it is like a whole new car.

To avoid a visit from Cap'n Obvious when I tell you how cool the car looks and how huge and encouraging those numbers are, and further that chicks rule, we'll just stick with:

Congrats to all!
