Check the IC boots and make sure they are on properly. Might be simple to some, but it does get overlooked.

They're questionable, but I have a new pair at home ready to go on. This isn't that. Or at least only that in small part. When its a major piece of the break-down puzzle, theres a high pitch squealy, sucky (allscientific terms) sound coming from the IC boots. I think the throttle body codes are from me pushing open the butterfly valve in an attempt to illustrate something for my girlfriend. I have found a procedure to reset that system though. So assuming that's the case it's now just a cylinder 1 valve, injector, plug or cable... Or coil pack. In any event, we're gettin there. I've seen where sudden temp shifts can throw off the sensors, I've wondered if the sudden depressurization of the SC/Induction system could have done the same... Im not so sure anymore but does anyone know?

At least it didn't go through the windshield into you.
So there was a foot chase along the highway between police and an assailant that involved gunfire at the time and in the location of my issue. So it's possibly tied to that, but as suggested, total randomness that I was hit. But as drsimmons said (and I've contemplated since), I am lucky. I mean with such a small target, it's stunning the car got hit statistically, but more surprising that the mini was hit and I wasn't. I mean it was 30" from me and any variation in speed, focus, other cars, red lights on my way to the highway, etc... And it ends very differently. If I were going a fraction of a mile an hour faster I get it or i realize the scenario and panic and wreck. Keep in mind that I never new what happened until 30-hours later. Yikes.

If you still have the bullet, maybe you can get some compensation for the troubles and expenses, depending upon who's gun it came from.
