I've got some of this, http://store.cdoc.com/detail.asp?id=34701&name=, to put on my WMS airbox. Lightweight and heat reflective.

Nice .............

Love the look.

Must be like that old maifold/exhaust tape we used to use to keep our racing sneakers from melting on the floor boards......lol.

I'll have to call the company and seeo if it has any Nomax threaded into the weave. If it does, that explains the cost and IT WILL work very well in keeping heat out of the cai box.

I would be really interested to see if this could be used and or help cool the intercooler in the area where the radiator hose sits in front of. I remember someone here rotated the radiator hose that sits in front of the intercooler which more than likely allowed the intercooler to better do its job without the radiant heat from the radiator hose. I was thinking a strip of this in that area would work, eliminating the need to rotate the radiator hose downward. Do you think the adhesive backing would stay put on a hot surface like that?

I would try this material first. Same stuff that firefighter suits are made from, and that oven glove sold on TV. It's also fire proof.

Sold in bulk here for many applications:
