I snapped a few pics today as I was finishing up with my Alta V2.0 CAI

Here's my OEM air filter... YUCK!!!! I'm pretty sure thats the original filter.



Alta recommends to remove the shroud/firewall. But I skipped that step. Once I had the alta box in place I just felt it was too open in the back and a good chance of hot air getting in. So I trimmed the firewall shroud. Right at the top of the lower portion of the factory air box and up.

that looks different than my v2 intake. looks to be textured surface and one single piece...

I'm located in Abbottstown. Its about 15 miles east of Gettysburg

It's the combo pack with the optional top. But I did check Alta's website and the picture does look like it has a smoother finish.

 

Its all over for you now you are hooked.
