I can't believe that it's been almost a year since I upgraded from and R53 to an R56 I bought a chili red/white cooper S that I named spunky I love him too death and he is a garage king and now I'm getting tired of the stock look so I'm going to start modding!!!!! I wanted to start a new forum and take pictures of spunky from stock to modded step by step and keep ya'll informed of how my MINIFICATION is going

so here's my list of mods:

*JCW stage 1 tuning kit
*JCW brake kit
*JCW aero kit
*JCW strut brace
*H&R sport springs (already have)
*Team Dynamics pro race 1.2 rims (white)
*craven speed short shifter
*ALTA boost tube kit, CAI, turbo inlet hose

+ does anyone know what kind of speakers I can upgrade too the stock mini sound system sucks.....
++does anyone know of a shop in the Houston area

OK, I agree with about half of the stuff on your list. The JCW Stage 1 is a nice piece, as is the JCW Aero kit. The stock brakes are quite good on the R56, just get some Hawk HPS pads and paint the calipers red. The strut brace is up for debate how useful it is, it's more engine-bay candy than anything...save your money for something really effective. Lastly, why do you want to replace the JCW airbox with an ALTA CAI? Save the coin and add a big front mount intercooler to that JCW Stage 1.

That's just my food for thought. It's your MINI so customize it they way you want.
