Hmmm I was wondering, I have the PowerChip ECU from Randy and after reading
all the posts on ECU/Chips etc... I was wondering... our ECU was sent to a vendor
who re-programmed/tweaked it and sent it back.

I wonder if we could use another Mini's ecu mapping. Say for example, my version is 34 modified, ScottG's is 33 and Jeff's is 31. Lets say Mine and Scott's are fine
but we still get a little yoyou while the Air/con is on, but Jeff has no issues. Could
we flash Jeff's modified version 31 to see how we like it? or is the flash only flashing certian parm's and not the full ecu?

Just a question. if we can play with different versions, that would be fun, we could
email the file and get the cables and play with the ecu a bit, maybe have one for
summer and one for winter or one for track, one for letting the parking attendant handle it.... no, never mind,,.. I'll park it... but thank you....

I had been meaning to ask Randy but just keep forgeting, so if anyone has any
insight or if Randy reads this maybe he can put his .02 in.

 

Just a reminder that this Siemens ECU for some bizarre reason can only be re-flashed 13 times, so you don't want to do too many of them!

GIAC makes ECU programs where you can swap between 3 or 4 different programs via a remote control on a key fob. They're currently working on a program for the MCS with Helix Motorsports, but it has yet to be seen whether it will be of the switch-able variety or not.
