I've seen this discussion before, but can't find it.

What are the bolt torque values for the 10 mm bolts connecting the exhaust header to the cylinder head (MCS).

Thanks!

the Manifold to Head bolts should be 24 nm

... and the Manifold to Exhaust System are 60nm

hope that helps!

FURIOSO, can you please confirm that the London Stainless is a 2.5" system? It would be much appreciated. I'm trying to create a short list of all the 2.5 aftermkt systems on the market...

Hey, also kindly share your install experiences and driving impressions! Please. Thank you.

Received the header last night. I received the Milltek unit instead of the London Stainless, but according to Randy, its the same. By the looks of it I agree, and it was Approx. $400 cheaper.

I can confirm that it is a 2.5" system. I plan to install it over the weekend. I take the MINI in next Monday to have the JCW kit installed. I'll update you on how the header install went next week.

I installed the header last Saturday. Followed Randy's instructions, and the installation wasn't bad at all. The header was installed after the JCW kit was installed. There was a noticable improvement after installation. In looking at the original header, its easy to see why (original very restrictive).

MINI really runs great now, throughout the rev range. Find myself going alot faster than I want due to the willingness of the engine to rev.

In hindsite, I wish I had installed a new intake and the header first. I think these two additions would make the proper starting point for more power. I wonder what the power and drivability comparisons would be with the header and the original MCS exhuast vs the original header and aftermarket exhaust.
