Drivetrain Pittsburgh dyno day
Pittsburgh dyno day
mods... 17% pulley, full alta exhaust, alta intake, PnP system, colder plugs and wires,93 octane
so i took my 05 mcs up to dyno day this weekend and i was kinda disappointed... about 4 months ago i was at the same place and my numbers where 200hp/175torque and since then i added a header and the Alta Plug and play and my numbers where 198hp/177torque. the temperature was only about 5 degrees hotter. i was kinda mad because the money i spend on the header and PnP.. i know the numbers are not to far apart but i was expecting them to be lil higher.
any one know y it would be lower????
i was thinking the chip added to much timing and it is detonating/ throwing to much knock.. is that possible??

I'm no expert but, assuming the same amount of smoothing in the graphs, are the hp and tq curves a little more jagged or have some dips compared to the last run? Could be interpreted as the car pulling timing when you get the little dips sometimes.
Or I could be on the meds again and seeing spots

yeah the car kinda felt better once we installed the header and pnp... felt like it pulled a lil harder.. but i was just expecting it to produce a lil more power than the numbers showed.
