cam clearance help!

hey guys, i know ive been absent for a while, but im installing a cam for a friend, and i have to clearance the spark plug tubes. I cant for the life of me find how much clearance i need. I know what i have ground them too (well, im filing, i dont want to grind in an open motor...). How much should be good?

Yeah I just ball peaned firmly with a 5/8" deep socket on seated on each plug. Just tap and test fit, tap and test fit, tap and test fit......have fun tapping!

yeah, what a ball, i got her tied up, thanks for the info luys, after reading that, i decided i was good.

by the way, clearance on a stock cam is .020, for those interested. I was a Kent cam by the way.
