Drivetrain SuperTurbo Dyno+Track Day data - 297WHP/232TQ
It well could be. It definitely looks like it. BHS made a few changes to it, but the basic pieces are the same...
The Chasecam is definitely good too. I chose this system because I prefer not having to connect the recorder to the computer to download the videos. And the link to the camera is digital, so the recording resolution & quality is a bit higher.

Very nice set up
I have read a bit about the twin charge set ups so what seems to be the main issues with reliablility of these systems?
Do they required a lot of tweaking and set up to get right?

since when? I was boosing like 35+ all winter... cold air gooood.... car scary

Eventually something will give though. 300 whp at 16-18 psi of boost > 300 whp at 30-35 psi of boost.
Just to be clear to everyone: this engine *does* have a "built bottom-end" (among other things). So don't think you can get similar behavior by simply tacking on a Turbo to the stock system...
I *am* going to post more details on the components as soon as I have a bit more time.

35 psi for me is about 450 WHP...
However... I concur that I would rather make that at ten lbs less boost...
300 whp at 18 psi > 300 whp at 28 psi

What about 28psi on a .20 over built bottom end?
That increases displacement to a 1.8 correct??

The car's running great! But I've been so busy I haven't had time to enjoy it....
Where are you located at man? I'd love to see that setup in action again!!!
Ehh, no. I think .60 over would put you at about 1.7 liters. Jan did some math and came up with the figures. I don't remember what they are. Boring out .20 though doesn't equate to a .2 liter displacement change.
yeah and the only time yer below that is in first for the most part.... especially if you know the car... and know how to drive it.... even my car with all it's low end TQ... it's best driven from 4500 to 8000
at 3500 RPMs the rotrex is makin 110 WHP give or take with the new injectors... funny thing... the turbo make 90 WHP, the difference is how it comes in... where the turbo then goes to 300 WHP by 6000 and holds till 8... the rotrex is a smoother climb maximizing it's WHP at red line.
I am not saying one is better than the other... I am saying it's two different styles of driving and performance... even my car... samething.... it's how it comes in... in a place like AZ where Kalbone is, Turbo is king... now on the a real tight 2nd gear course... I'll take the grunt of the M45 SC, TC or something comparable.

Trust me I wasn't comparing a turbo to the Rotrex. For my driving style the Rotrex wouldn't work for me.
Stroker is where it's at!
