Special oil dyno result

As some of you may know I have been testing some oil opposed to OEM.

On thursday I posted that my base run was 248bhp with OEM and then 251.7 with Special oil but on looking at my dyno graphs the oil actually made a bit more power than 3.7bhp. The reason being that the base run was run 2 and the oil run which made 251.7 was run 3 so therefore there was more heat in the engine and intercooler.

If I compare back to back i.e run 2 with run 2 the oil made a difference of. . . . . . . . . 8.4bhp

So that is a gain of just over 3% from an oil change. And yes it is a 5W30 plus I am told it gives better protection and I have not had as high oil temps on the road when hammering it. (peak oil temp on road after prolonged hammering was 130degrees C with OEM oil, special oil same condition 115 degrees C)

What oil is this? I don't see why you haven't said which one it is already...? Sorry, but I've got to be skeptical. Is it an ester-based oil?

The reason I have not posted what oil it is yet is because you cannot buy the oil yet. The company that makes it purley do power sports oil in the UK(GP road bikes, motocross, supermoto etc) and they have see gains of up to 3.5% on motorcycle engines and they are now developing an automotive range

I would assume it is as some of their other products are ester based oils.

I will update with more info when I get some
