Need help with cold air installation!!

I installed my alta cold air intake 2 weeks ago. Problem is they forgot to include the plug for the BOV hose. Problem I'm having is that the piece that connects into the firewall (there is a bright orange sticker above it" keeps coming apart because of the air pressure and is basicly open to outside air, water ECT. We just had a major storm and my car is running like crap now. Is this a possible reason? Looks like the part that snapps to the firewall leads to the outside anyway. Please help.

yes that's it, the noise generator!! Thing is I don't want to have to go through all the trouble of taking it all apart again. If There is no harm in that piece being disconnected from the firewall and basicly being "open" to the elements than I would rather just let it be. Anybody else know anything about this and if its safe to leave it disconnected?

your car will still run no problem. i had the same thing happen to me and alta had to send a plug. question is do you have the boost tubes that way you just plug up the sound generator hole and take it off . then no more rattles. you could even just take the scoop that connects to the firewall off too. its not going to do anything. pm me if you want to know more.

Sorry for not getting back sooner. Mother's Day and all!

Anyway, there is only ever air escaping from that port not going in. So no risk of water damage or concerns there.

WE are happy to provide the plug if you want it. Just let us know! Feel free to PM me or e-mail for fastest response.

Thanks again!
