Temperature Sensor

Does anyone know where the sensor for the temperature sensor is located?

I have just made my own intercooler spray and noticed that when I used it tonight, the temperature indicated on the trip computer said the temp had lowered by about 3-4 degrees C. I allowed the temp to rise again and then tried it a number of times and it had the same effect each time.

Therefore I have a theory that it is somewhere on the front bar near the intercooler, does anyone know for sure?

The trip computer is reporting air temperature and that sensor (on the R53) is clipped to the front bumper cover down low. I suspect it is in the same area on the R56.

Yup it's in the same place on the R56, found it when I was helping someone change their bumper.

Here is a shot of my front panel, the temp sensor is on the left hand side, note the circled object.

I have it tied off to the side, it should actually be in the grill area.

We do and recommend the same thing. I haven't noted any change in the indicated temps.

Thanks everyone, that explains why my IC spray is so effective it actually lowers the ambient temp of the world!
