Clearing ECU Data

Is there any way of clearing the ECU of stored data such as maximum boost levels ?

hook up a code reader & clear dtc's even if there's none stored, I don't know of any cars that this doesn't cleared all the stored values, but there's no guarantee without a factory scantool to check.
