Who would be interested in a single muffler system that comes off the cat into a resonator that steps from 2.25" to 2.5", remains 2.5" through the rest of the system, in-front out-rear muffler with a twin slightly oval outlet? Cost around $699 and weight in the 20 lb area?

It'll be evaled within the next - you guessed it - two weeks.

Is this new exhaust for MC or MCS?

Randy,

I'm guessing everyone is interested in an exaust that gives great performance, sound and weight savings at a good price bud!

That reminds me, have you had any experience with the UUC exhaust yet?

Sounds like the Supersprint Race setup.

No thanks, we need more 2.5" straight-thru single exhaust choices!

Nope... it isn't the SS "race". This is something else. The SS race is something developed based on requests from this area and what we know works. The price point I believe is quite a bit different though.

That's essentially what this is. The stock header comes out at 2.25", so you need to match that adn step up from there to 2.5"

I'm planing on swapping headers/cats & exhaust at he same time. I'm under the impression aftermarket headers outlet at 2.5", which is what I'd like to preserve throughout

The 2.5" entire system may be an option as well for those who have the Quicksilver/London Stainless/Miltek header.

sounds almost like that system that Mini Mania has, tho I don't know the size of the pipes and all.
BTW, what do you think of that system, Randy?
I am liking the idea of their 215 HP kit. How does that stand up to what you could do?
Thanks for your input, dude!

From what I've seen here on the dyno, if you use the same percentage in driveline loss, it is a tick under my 200 horsepower kit.

I love the way the NRP sounds, but I'm not crazy about the tips (totally subjective). The power gains have been in line with the Borla street system. It is a 2.25" system, and has a funky bend after the muffler. Okay system for power, mediochre system for looks, great system for sound.

Hummmmmmmm.......personally, I love a good sounding system, as long as the power is OK.
I am sure a water to air intercooler would help power as well.

thank you!

Well this is sounding more and more like a system for the MCS to me.

Well, the water-air system isn't part of the 200 horsepower kit - all you need is the intake, pulley, exhaust and ECU tuning. That will get you to the point of some of the others' 215+ HP kits.

It is definitely an S exhaust system - sorry I wasn't more specific.

Randy,
As you know from the SF Bay Area pulley party, I want the final touches to my engine perfomance mods. with the exhaust. If it wasn't for the tips, I would have already purchased the NRP system. Still leaning towards the Magnaflow, but the trumpets tips aren't my favorite look (that's why the UUC is so attractive), and noise/droning could be an issue. If you had a system like the NRP, i.e. single pipe which gives good horsepower gains, sound (like the NRP), nice looking tips (like stock or UUC), and a good price point (around the Magnaflow $600), count me in.

Randy,
Assuming the new system matches the performance gains and great sound of the Flow, count me in for two.
Looking forward to seeing some numbers...

Any NRP sound clips?

Also, I thought the NRP was a 2 1/2" system????

Randy, when you say "step", I assume the system starts off 2.25" and then tapers to 2.5". In that case, if I plan on going with headers in the future, should I wait to order the full 2.5" version?

Also, you know me (and Beth).... Will there be an option to order the system with a straight pipe instead of the center resonator?
