The service advisor tried to tell me it's out of warranty since I have a pulley, but he said he'd try and take care of it.

Let's hope they fix it tomorrow so I can have my MINI back. I hate driving rentals.

Even with the belt slipping I saw a 10hp gain and the power is right at the tip of my toes. It's a lot more fun to dirve and the weird thing is that the gas mileage actually improved very slightly. THANKS JAN!!!

No problem Devil Dog
let me know how it works after the belt is on!

I received one print-out, but it wasn't the highest gain because the last Dyno they did on Shadow (the one that was printed) wasn't as high as the one before, so he re-installed that map back.

Thanks to Jan for coming out, for ingsoc for organizing it, and to Renn Haus for the dyno. What a nice shop they have along with professional staff.

Great to see Keith again and nice to meet some new faces.
Nice meeting you too.....
its RED it has to be fast

thanks to everyone at Renn Haus and ingsoc for putting on a great time in Sarasota. Looking forward to coming back in the future when I can actually spend some time hanging out.

I was getting incorrect MPG readings before but I think Im where i should be now that im tunned for the injectors and my cat/sensor problem is resolved. Felt great at work in FL sun even while sitting in a parking lot with ac on then as i left if still felt great. Its nice knowing that my car is in good running order now since I put an Avrg of 150mi per day on it.

If you have larger injectors in your car the OBC's MPG Calculation is going to be off.

Are you asking a question or did you miss that my opinion was that it was off due to injectors or Sensor issues withought a tune. So am i going to get issued a ticket or do i need to fight it in court?

Edit: Before I was getting 30.1 -31.5 mpg after the tune and no more CEL/SES light im around what most are getting 27ish.

three thumbs up .

For me personally not to much of an improvement over what I had on previous Dyno`s / Tunes but it was found that I have some obscure problem with some air /fuel readings . Even so Jan was able to make my car run like it never has before ,so linear is that the word ?? responsive ?? smooth ?? ALL that and more .
Only problem I have now is , I got to learn how to launch from stop again , to try and save on tire wear also environmental smoke pollution .

A new MINI Friendly company has been made with Renn-House .The boss and staff were wonderfully supportive to everyone .Hospitality was at its best . I believe we will be hearing more from this company .

Jan worked his *** off all though the long day . A pleasure to have met him in person . I think every one came away with a more educated understanding what the tune / Dyno was all about .

Mr. Ingsoc (Mahir)

Thank you for holding this event together ,I thought at one point it was going to fail , but glad I was proven wrong . A great bunch of Mini folks. a great day .
pls share graphs and A/F if you don't mind.

No no, I got that part, but tuning the injectors isn't going to affect the OBC's calculation of gas milage. As far as your car is concerned it has 340 cc injectors in right now, they're just only squirting at 35-45% duty cycle (Cause your real injectors are squirting so much more fuel at each injector pulse, that they don't need to be running at 65-75% anymore). Tuning for 380's or 440's just entails dialing fuel trims down. It doesn't actually mean that Jan "Told" the car what size injectors you're running.

Case in point, my car has been tuned, it says I average about 27 mpg driving ( , yea, ok...). I think I averaged around 20 when the car was STOCK. Somehow I doubt I'm averaging 27 now that I'm making 100 HP over that.

Sounds like it just "Learned" how you drive it, or you've been driving it harder with your newfound power, .

If I'm wrong, and you really did figure out how to convince the car it has larger injectors for OBC purposes Jan let me know. I'm too lazy to calculate my fuel economy every gas tank.

I do it in my head...one reason I didn't spring for the OBC. I knew chances were it would be useless as injectors get swapped

Exactly what I do, trip odo divided by gas purchased = mpg. If you can't do it in your head, use your cell phone calculator.

It needs to be a drop down menu in the program with tooltips No but really i havent been ******* it or anything anymore than I already do. So from what I understand only thing somewhat reliable is the outside temp cause i know the avg speed isnt. Above 70 im off more than 5mph im guessing my tires but im too lazy to check em. I also think I missread I thought I was getting pulled over by the BS police.

I can do it in my head, it's just easier to glance down and look.

I guess it'd be nice if it was that easy but things rarely are!

Got the car back from the dealer and am I glad that I took it there. The lead tech found the crank damper pulley was about to go. He said that it was wobbeling all over the place and that's why we were getting some weird readings on the dyno. I'm happy that the thing didn't blow up on my way home on Saturday. They replaced the damper pulley under warranty and even installed my new 535 belt for free.

Go Ferman!

The car feels much better. Wish I could get it up on the dyno now to see what it really can do.

Yes, it was Pat who worked on my car. Do you know his screen name or his website. I'd like to thank him and talk to him about some potential future work.

I dont actually i have his number at home but i figure the best way to thank him is when Mini USA calls about the work done make sure you have them add a remark about him in the survey thats wat I did.

It was on a dyna pack, of course im going to run lower than a dyno jet. I pulled aorund 180, counldt do much due to me having no exhuast and running lean with no backpressure, as soon as the rmw exhuast is on and a few other RMW goodies it will be tuned again, Runs perfect, need that exhaust JAN ,
