I got a stage 1 head and my Ultrick cam is going in it. I'm going to take it to my local dyno to get the A/F ratio. My first A/F with everything in my sig except the 380s and AGS went below 10 and that's really rich. I'm hopping that the head will lean it out a bit. Then i'm going to get the tune. I'm kinda of excited to see what numbers i'll put down.

I saw you buy it on the other forum, got a good deal! I'll be looking forward to seeing what the tune does. Seems like Jan gets good results even with these "other" heads.

So do you plan on getting it tuned by Jan?

I'm going to wait for Jan to come back to Helix or anywhere close to it. Do you think it will be ok to drive the car without a tune? I got a civic that i plan on driving alot to keep the miles of the mini and save money on gas because it's now 3.50

Enjoy the Cosworth Head Matt, I did, it was totally reliable and a pleasure to drive with on the street. I got my car back today so I will take the Cosworth plaque off the head tomorrow and send it to you, along with any other Cosworth goodies I can find.

Morning Matt, it was a pleasure to meet you, I will look out for you on the nemini rallys.
The ride is great, the Toyo R-888's felt nice and are not noisy. I put the P-Zero Nero's on last night, they are real quiet. However the new power was not handled well by the metallic high flow cat and Magnaflow thus I'm now researching for a new system. It's a little too loud to give it a real test run, but hopefully very soon I'll have a new system.

Something that is track worthy, will last and be street legal, I got word this morning that it will be resolved in about a week which would be great.

I would not be the guy to ask Call Steve at :www.customminishop.com He is our Mini guru here in Fresno . You might need to up your injectors to 400's or 440's, but not sure, probably atleast to the 400's.

Your car will adapt on its own to the new head. We got our RMW head exactly a year ago and it wasn't tuned until Oct of last year. You should notice a performance increase after install, but the tune will just make even more power for you.

It's not finished yet, the meth injection and a stronger exhaust should be going on hopefully in about a week and then it will need the final tuning.

It will be fine without a tune for now. The tune will "turn on" the head. Until then it will feel fun but it will not show what it's capable of.

The car will be fine without a tune, it will just run a little lean until you get the tune done.
I put my Thumper head in last month and the car is running fine without a tune. Monday is tune time, can't wait to see how much power we can get out of it!
Like any performance head to get the most out of it a custom tune is a must.
Good luck with it and I hope you get some serious gains out of it!

The car is an absolute beast after 3500 rpms. It just feels like it wants to keep on pulling
