Anyone seen the new ALTA Stealth exhaust with the single-oval tip? Wondering how it'd look.

 

Saw it at AMVIV...The oval was so-so but the black was slick (I hate chrome, looking to eliminate it all eventually one piece at a time). One Alta guy said it could go on any exhaust (yay!) and another said it was only sold with the entire exhaust system (boo!).

 

At the Alta website, it is only sold with the system, but I assume if you'd like the black tips so much and have a 3" system, then by all means, spend the $800 for the tip. ;P

I need some pics tho. Cause I know the dual-tips look good, but I've always wanted an oval-tip for my baby. I know the Milltek one looks great, but it's chrome. And it's Milltek, so it most likely sounds like a fart-can, rather than the exotic sultriness that permeates from all ALTA exhausts.

 

no help from here. I am looking for some pics of the new single tip Stealth exhaust as well. I am hoping a few will show up at The Dragon.

look on page 7 on the thread posted above. apparently the new style has the black on th inside of the tip which s MUCH better looking imho

 

Yes, it does look much better. Wish it sat more flush with the lines of the car, tho. Maybe it'd look better on my R53, rather than those R56's.
