Drivetrain fuel pressure on R53?
fuel pressure on R53?
after doing alot of research about injector sizes and B.S.F.C. and flow rates and such i am at the point where i believe its possible that i may need injectors. To be sure i need to know the correct fuel pressure on the R53 because it makes a big difference in CC/min especially on boosted vehicles. I belive that pressure is 3 1/2 BAR ( 52 psi ) but i need to be sure. apparently at 80% duty cycle a rough estimate at 52 psi would mean that stock injectors are only good to around 190hp. and JCW injectors will be sufficient to around 210hp.
Do these numbers seem realistic also? im kinda new to the tuning game and i dont want to install something i dont need or without getting all the info i can. thanks guys/gals

whats anyones best guess for the lowest fuel pressure at which point the injectors fail to work effectivly.....
with respect to quality of fuel delivery, ie atomisation and spray pattern
is it better to keep up the pressure but for a shorter duration?
the math might stack up but will an injector work correctly with only 2.5 bar?
is there a lower limit to which they can be scaled?
is it better to use a tune, a adj fuel rail or both?
