The above is completely false you are misleading everyone as usual.

Randy for a period of time did not do unichip. Unichip was the latter when he decided he wanted to do tuning on his own. Keep your assumptions to yourself I wouldnt put Randy in this to make up a story. Wanna find out call him.

it's hard to tell exactly who is speaking here as usual.... Alex or Jesse

here are some facts:

Osch did the tuning for Gintani during the time Randy Webb was involved with you.... whether he tuned his race car is up for debate.....

Jesse is tuning Gintani cars now..... he wasn't there to tune Randy's car so regardless.... IT'S A MUTE POINT.....

but feel free to keep the laughs coming

also if the tuning was so great why would a guy go to an inferior form of tuning like the Unichip?

Why. Don't you believe Randy will tell the truth. I only ever saw a Unichip on his car.

Do you think GINTANI bashing will ever become an olympic sport? Should be a few gold medalists out there already!

The vendors actually pays for this?
Why would you bother?

I do trust Randy Webb, he is a great guy and is the reason why we have most of our How-To's. His Mini was insane and he did quite well. What he used for tuning is unknown to me. Before Jan came along(which has been the most beneficial happening to the Mini community since the invention of the wheel) Randy Webb was "The Man."

I am skeptical of Gintani because of their inherent ability to produce the facts to back their statements. If you can show me the data that Randy created then I will be more open minded.

I know Gintani "needs time"...but if you make a claim back it up in a reasonable amount of time. All the other vendors DO.

I will be eager to see the data.

Chris.
Where do you think Gintani got a lot of their data from for the aftercooler????

I'll tell you since it seems as if you don't know...Randy Webb He was running their cooler, header and other parts long ago when they were in proto-type phase. Randy has posted many times on how great the Gintani system was, and that he couldn't heat soak the cooler even after he twin charged it. (with the race heat exchanger) The info is all on here, try utilizing the search function. Randy said that yes it was expensive, but you get what you pay for!

So that's what I meant from that statement

Were you referring to me when you wanted to shut some guy up? I really hope not. I don't take threats very well if that was directed at me! I just asked if Randy had the answers why wouldn't you have him chime in. Post some numbers. Then maybe people will get off your back.

WOAH!!!!!

Lets got some stuff straight here...

And yes thanks, I've had a quite an enjoyable afternoon at the MetroplexMINI.org Easter Egg Hunt, won an iPod Shuffle in the raffle too.

But anyway...yes I took Gintani to task online about the hype they have on their website. I wanted to know more. Ya'll saw that stuff above. I tried to just keep it all withing the lines of the facts that were or are available, gleaned from the Gintani site. Frankly to me it had the scent of some BS to me. I think ya'll know by I call em as I see em. That alone has alienated me from some vendors, oh well, I'm over it.

Then after picking my car up from the paint shop, the entire front end was redone, looks great BTW, thanks for asking, I was sitting in typical Dallas traffic when it hit me. This would be a perfect item for the NAM Alliance Magazine Product Review section we have just started. Our first item is undergoing testing as we speak, look for the article in the next issue of the Alliance magazine. I called Gintaini and spoke to Jessie and laid out the program for him. Jessie said he'd need to speak to his partners and he'd get back to me. This was later Friday afternoon and frankly I don't expect to hear anything back till next week. I posted that we had a possible plan and for y'all to sit tight.

Well that didn't happen...

So here we are now in the middle of a firestorm. I'm sorry it happened. Lets all take a few steps back and enjoy some time away from this thread and see how it plays out.

I guess I had better start a thread about the review program and how it works. Look for that later please. I need to swap pads and tires and wash the MINI. Plus I have dinner plans. Let me assure you, I am not the person doing the testing. I am merely the agent that gets the parties together and then prepares the article for publication.

Now, everyone...a deep breath please...and let it out....there.

Really cant explain can you is that why you ran from investments you couldnt make it. I know a few people that worked with you in investments they both chuckle when I mention your name. Good thing you switched to an engineer a few weeks after wait a minute take that statement back. Where are you purchasing your heads, strokers etc. They arent made at your facility its one in the valley and its not your partner in crime. Explain who does all your hardware for you.
