I have a friend who no longer needs their unichip (they sold their car).

My question is...

They have an 2003 MCS that is was on. Will it work on a 2006 MCS?

She told me to send it to Detriot Tuned and they could reprogram it for my mods. Currently it is tuned for a 15% pulley, CAI, and exhaust. I am running a 19%pulley and Alta replacement filter.

 

It will work. It can be adjusted to your mods. It won't be as good as a custom tune.

I knew it wouldn't be as good, but for the price I can not beat it right now.

 

Check with ALTA, they seem to have some good out-of-the-box tunes. You can send your unit to them with a list of your mods and they will get close.

 

Save your money for a real tune. Went this route myself and to date it was the biggest waste of money on any mod. UseLessChip is the absolute worst company to deal with on the planet. My car picked up more HP on the dyno with it off than on.
