Gatorback belt by Goodyear

thru Summit Racing

This belt is awesome. It enhances the whine of the S.C.,and makes a beautiful
winding noise. It felt like I got a tune up(compared to the p.o.s.belt I took off of it.)

NOT the stock belt.

I've used a stock belt for 20K with zero issues.

I was using a stock belt with a 15% pulley for 30K+ miles with "no issues" too - until I put my car on a dyno and saw that the belt was slipping and I was getting boost spikes and losing power. Then I got the NAPA 535 belt.

what the copi said. the napa 535 is correct. as long as it can be put on it shouldnt be too tight. i was using the gatorback 537 and the tensioner had no hole showing. now with the napa 535 the full hole plus is visible. mechanics have told me though that there is some error in all the belts so sometimes youll find the same size off by a bit.

Define "no issues."

I'd be almost certain you're getting belt slip on the supercharger (and not making peak boost) in your case.

Depends on who's pulley he is using.

Is this the same size of Napa's 060537?? If so, I found it to be a little too big for the 15%.

Not really. As long as he doesn't have an upsized crank pulley to take up the slack, any of the reductions should not be using the stock belt.

Just to clarify, is the Napa 060535 or 060539 that is the best application for 15% reduction pulley and OEM crank?

Didn't say there will be problems, but if you want to actually get the most out of your pulley, use a belt that fits, not one that is so loose it starts slipping at 5k RPM's.

If you're going to have the pulley off anyway, why not spend $20 on a belt? If it snaps, it's going to cost you 20x that for a new crank pulley when it self destructs...

The 535 belt works well for a 15% pulley.

Removed all that crap cause the HTML makes it hard to read your question.

Give Danny a call at MINICorsa, he can recommend a place to get belts local to you.
