Drivetrain (Cooper S) MINI Cooper S (R56) intakes, exhausts, pulleys, headers, throttle bodies, and any other modifications to the Cooper S drivetrain.

Drivetrain do u have this problem?

do u have this problem?

I tried to install Alta Turbo Inlet tube this afternoon and I have this problem...

How can I fix it? Will it be a factory error?

I have already turn it down as much as possible (tube is already touching the steel pipe of turbo) (photo c) but it still pointing up (photo a & b)...

Dude, WTF is THAT??? How on earth did you manage that? My tube didn't fit as good as the stock piece, but it never stuck up like that. LMAO!!!

after compare, ALTA tube isn't as curve as stock and little shorter

i think i need an exchange

Hmmm it said it is for R56, i hope it is a defection on my order...

and i will try to take some pictures this afternnon for compare but i am planning to exchange so i will keep u posted

Hey guys. I don't think the part is wrong, and I hate to poke at MrB but it simply looks like it needs to be rotated back a bit. The only hinderance would be at the tube to the ValveCover or whatever that wire/tube is that has been added to the car. The Inlet Tube is bigger, so that may be the issue.

As Rattmobbins mentioned above, that is the first time we have had a report like that. MrB. feel free to contact me or my staff directly. I saw your e-mail as well and I know Jeff replied already.

this is my follow up of this... i have brought this part to the North America Motorsports and show them this situation, and we found out that the turbo inlet is not long enough to bend becauce it is touching a steel bar from the turbo... we have tried another tube and it fit much more, however it is in black. Therefore, I am exchanging this part and i have order da CAI in red too.. i am looking forward to that too...

YES, i have install a hyper grounf system from SUN....

MrB: Glad to hear the update! Thank you for the continued business. But, Jeff and I were both trying to help you, and in less than four hours, it went from being too long, to now you claim too short. What happened? We SERIOUSLY want to help resolve this issue but I can't imagine how the part is made wrong. Each tool is IDENTICAL and there isn't any real variance in each part to part. So Jeff and I are both scratching our heads. PLEASE keep us posted.
