Drivetrain Tensioner over torquing causing belt failure
Tensioner over torquing causing belt failure
Has anyone had the belt break and found that over torquing of the bolt that attaches the tensioner to the SC was the cause? It is the bolt at the upper right of this picture. It is a swivel joint. I'm wondering if over torquing could prevent it from swiveling which would prevent the arm from moving and keeping the belt tensioned, then the belt could start slipping and heat up and break.
