I've been looking at the pics of cold air kits on different web sites. Why couldn't you just trim the filter box and redirect the air yourself alot cheaper. I haven't tried this, but it looks like a simple mod for cheap.

There's no reason why you can't. You can seriously enlarge the 1.5" or so hole under the stock filter on the aft wall, then install a more free flowing filter with the same dimentions and bingo! you'll have your mod that can't be seen when the bonet is raised
