06 MSC Exhaust ? Will it fit?

I just bought a used cat-back system from a forum member and went on the Magnaflow web site to see the install pages and found that the system looks to be for 02-03 and I have an 06. The person I bought it from had it on his 05 MCS. The cat-back that I have now looks to be part # 15742 the reason I know that is that the 04-06 (#16662) has a little more bends at the outlet end. So has anyone put the 02--03 on an 06.
Thanks,Ramie

If the previous owner had it on his '05, he most likely modified the hangers on the exhaust. Any pics?

To fit an 02-04 exhaust on an 05-06, you can either tweak the inner hangers 90*, or just leave them hanging freely. You'll still be using two hangers in the rear, and you'll be OK since the aftermarket exhaust will weigh a bit less.

If the previous owner had an '05, then he might have already changed the hangers. Best way to find out is to crawl under there and see how it fits. (It should be clear then.)

Originally I had my magnaflow hung by only the outside hangers, it held it up just fine but it lacked side to side support. When corning hard, the exhaust would move far enough for the tips to touch the rear bumper cover and started to melt away the plastic.

Should be fine if the other person already modded it. Even if not, it is easy to do. Congrats on the latest upgrade!

Happy Motoring!
