O2 Sim Vs P0420 code..
I know this things been beaten to death but since I had one on hand and also have a miltek cat thats failing I been thinking some about it and decided to wire it in tonight and test it. I plan on getting the exhaust fixed but I was tired of the light in the meantime.
Well after installing it plugging the battery back in and reseting that p0420 inefficent cat code. It seems to have some pep part throttle. So im wondering if mabye some of you or someone can enlighten me or confirm what Im thinking.
1.) I heard when you get the inefficent cat code you go into some sort of open loop mode or something. Is the ECU now better controling my AFR for part throttle without the code?
2.) Resetting the battery has forced the ECU to relearn. I noticed I still had to use my code reader to reset the code though.
Id really like to know what goes on with the AFR with the P0420 code though. Also i have bigger injectors so mabye that has a big part in the difference?
