Drivetrain DT Bypass Valve MPG and other Observations
Yes that is the screw that is easily broken. And yes the bypass valve still opens and closes the spring is just stiffer than stock and the butterfly valve goes fully closed instead allowing air to get through. My stock valve when closed wasnt actually closed. If you shine a light through the valve you can see an area around the flap that is still allowing air through. With the DT bypass valve I shined the light through and no light was able to get past the butterfly valve indicating a much better seal when closed which allows more boosted air to get to where it needs to go.
INteresting. I like this mod but the whole problem when your going slower bothers me. But i guess some things you cant fix if you want more power. I'll probably be getting this soon. Instilation isnt hard right? Does the radiator need to be removed?
