$18,300 above the cost of a donor car for 185 hp? If I was going to the trouble to spend that much on a Mini and make changes to the frame and suspension, I would try to jam this into it.

BTW - hang on to your stock filter box and lid, you'll need them when it comes time for a smog cert.

Two places:
Bay Bridge Motors in Oakland (ask for Jacques) 510.208.3273 (they installed my pulley)

Edge Motorworks in Dublin (Erik or Gordon) 925.479.0797

Both good shops with fair pricing.
Tell them you heard about them here.

Do it yourself and save the cash, its really not that difficult, just time intensive the first go around.

Totally off subject but, I have a hard time taking anyone seriously when their website has misspellings.

Hmmm......'Twas quite awhile ago. The pulley was a Birthday present. Can't remember what the labor was.
Give either shop a call and tell them "Big" Jim Williams referred you.

Nothing wrong with having a pro install, but it is a DIY if you’re willing to get involved. http://www.lonestarminiclub.com/foru...read.php?t=549

There's also A&E Performance in Cuptertino

it was recently bought by Dinan. Haven't been there since the change. Kept all the mechanics, so it should still be good. My pully install with new belt was between $300 and $400 a while ago...
