Hey mike, did you get those instructions? I e-mailed for them but they came in some strange format or something, and didn't open. If you did could you send them my way?

The flat part on the side of the pod, is it on both sides? If it's just on the left as shown in the pictures, is that pod made to be on the right side of the tach?

The pod only has that flat part on that side, however it does rotate you can rotate it and mount it on the other side and it looks exactly the same. So you can put it on either side without a problem. I decided on that left side because wiht how I sit, when I look at the tach through the steering wheel, there is usually more space on the left side.

I think I'm clear on this. Can you rotate it so it's round on the outside with that flat part against the tach?

No you would rotate it 180 degrees (in the direction of your tach's revs to the other side). so it can be on the right side of the steering wheel with the flat side facing out right. I hope i'm not confusing you any further.

Ok, I got it. I don't get why it needs to be flat on that part. Except for their logo sticker I guess.

I think the logo sticker is the most logical reason behind that flat part on the gauge pod.

Yay!!! FedEx.com says mine is on the truck for delivery today! I won't be able to install until Thursday morning, but I'll post pics/ my experience as soon as I'm done. My exhaust on the other hand won't ship for another 3 weeks or so

Well I purchased the Gauge Pod alone. I previously ordered a boost gauge but since not too many install options were available it was just laying around. The ones mikeg and scott48 have are the ones provided through Alta. (very nice BTW)..I just personally like the clear-lens gauges not the tinted ones.

Very nice, good luck on the install.

Did ya get the cat-back only or the full TBE?

Alta guys, is there any way to buy the MAP sensor adapter individually? I would get the pod and adapter with an Autometer Ultralight to match the tach face a little better. The Alta guage looks nice, but I think the Autometer guage is a little better match.

The Autometer Ultralight electric gauge comes with a MAP sensor. Here's what it would look like installed.

Anyone have a pic of what the Prosport gauge looks like at night? I'd like to see the lighting compared to the OEM lighting. Thanks.

I like the look of the Ultra lite, thanks. The guage comes with a MAP sensor like you said, but you would have to tap into the intake. The Alta adapter allows you to keep the car intact while providing a sweet looking port for the gauges sensor to draw from.

Here are a couple from my wife's car. She liked the red background, but the amber setting actually matches the interior perfectly.
