Alta Header

Hi,

I'm looking for feedback from people with Alta headers. Anyone care to share?

TIA

I have one. Installed about 4 months ago. I love it. Gave me a boost in my middle range RPM's. I already had their cat back, so it bolted up very well. Gave it a meaner sound also . There is a header post in drivelines that people were giving their opinions, I posted their also. Another plus is that it looks like a OEM from underneath, which is worthwhile if you live in california.

I love mine the fit and finish is very good. I love the sound. I haven't throw any codes.

If I had it to do over again would I get the Alta? Not sure I would want to spend the money again. If I were going to spend less I would go with the megans. If I wanted to spend alittle more I would go with the RMW.

i've had mine for over a year and it started throwing codes . i'm getting the
"what mods are you running " crap . they haven't come out and said they wouldn't warranty it ; but i'm sure that after i pull it and send it to them ; it'll be something along those lines . typical . i'll go rmw next time . my advise: get a header where you can replace the cat at will . some of the better ones bolt the cat in . i'm kicking myself for not going this route .

From Alta's website ...

We also include a 5 year / 50,000 mile warranty.
I'd still like to hear what they say about it randomly throwing codes on some peoples cars though

A header alone will not throw a code...depends what cat you link it with...

I have an open ALTA, and it sounds great, but mine sits to the left of the tunnel for some reason....so I can't effectively install my o2 sensor, yielding it useless (the header pushes against the tunnel, eating the wires of the o2 sensor)...which throws my DSC and CEL.

Yeah IMHO it sux that Alta is staying away from this thread ... I even sent a pm to them asking for their input. I'm starting to think I need to consider other options. Too bad since since JSC Speed is offering a really good deal on the Alta header right now
