Drivetrain Alta Turbo Inlet Hose Install Question (Help required)
Alta Turbo Inlet Hose Install Question (Help required)
Alright so I got my inlet hose and my boost tubes and started installing.
The inlet hose went on easily enough but I have one question for anyone at Alta or anyone who's done the install before: Is it normal for the new inlet hose to touch the coolant reservoir and crank case breather?
I put the hose in the exact same place as the OEM one and I'm sure that the Alta one requires more clearance (as it's bigger) but is this normal or is there something I have to do that I don't know about? Thanks for the help!

I haven't done that mod., but the Alta turbo inlet piece has a bigger diameter than stock, so it very well could.....it can only go on one way, so as long as it's hooked in properly, you'll be good.
Yea it really tight there with very little to no clearance. I also had to remove the entire back wall in order to get the tube that connects to the throttlebody to fit. I was eventually able to cram everything back in, i don't remember Germans having such small hands.
Hey guys, can you send me a link to a pic of these? I don't want to say that is normal until I see it. But the back wall should NOT need to be moved. There MAY be a length issue. If so they can be trimmed (but WE should have caught that here not have you guy have to do it.)
Can you guys let me know? I want to help out!
