Yes..you put it on, remember..lol.. Personally, I'd remove the stock airbox and replace it with a filter from your local autozone, then, you'd gain HP from an open intake as well as the stock BOV sound and the spooling of the turbo
Otherwise, yes, this is a noisemaker, it can be put back.. It's just three bolts - be sure to save the stock bolts however because the aftermarket ones are longer..

I'd get an intake and skip the BOV. You'll get the same sound AND a little extra power, instead of just a poser noise making device that makes no power. Just my $.02.

I am nervous about the intake because in my Honda Element it would void the warranty. Would it do the same with MINI?

What they don't know won't hurt
Of course the dealer will steer you away, but unless somethings happens, they'll have to prove it was caused by the intake.. I've thrown filters and CAI's on the last 7 seven cars I've had and no issues with anything or at the dealers... If something happens, just slap the stock box back on..

I just ordered the Alta CAI and the Forge BOV. We will see how it sounds hopefully it wont be too obnoxious.

The CAI by itself is plenty loud.

And it's noticable by the butt dyno.

Here is the car with the BOV. It sounds pretty sweet I must admit. I will post another video once I get the CAI as well.
