Drivetrain RMW (Jan) Tune - Best mod by far
It's not that expensive, $350. plus dyno time. I think Jan will be your area, I think
. But I shouldn't say that with Christmas comming and all.

Seriously, Neil's car in traffic on the way back from the tune was luny tunes nuts. It was able to keep up with the car in front of it without a problem.
Okay. So maybe there was a "bit" of a difference when we got out in the open. Is it a good then when your neck hurts when you get out of the car?
The thing I really didn't like about the whole experience of watching both Larries car and then Neil's car get tuned was the fact that now I am going to have to do it. Thanks alot Neil and Jan.

no doubt about it...... without a tune all the mods are like a football team without a quarterback..... Jan does a great job..... $350 + dyno money is the best bang for the buck mod I know of...... since I have had or now have most of them..... (as others do) if your thinking about it do it now before Jan gets tired of flying all over the country......

Yes but thats only at 88mph
Well, as I said before, I'm planning to do this anyway.............
Any fuel economy gains?
My car is a dead stock MCS, with the dealer added JCW package. What sort of numbers should I wind up with?
Anything I should do maintenance wise before the tune? It'll have fresh oil and filter and such, but at just over 50K miles I haven't done anything not already required by the factory maintenance schedule.

Who is this Jan guy and how can I get in contact? LOL
You guys need to stop. I live close and have to see this donkey allot. Now I'm going to have to pick him up in my wife's SUV because his head won't fit in my Mini
.
The funny thing is that every one is starting to believe what I told them about Jan and his products from the start.
Longboard

Jan from RMW tuned my car yesterday. I already had a MTH custom racing map. The tune increased my peak WHP from 204 to 215, the peak torque stayed the same at 191 ft-lb but the Area Under the Torque Curve improved dramatically. I gained approx. 10 ft-lbs at the wheels from 4,000-6,000 rpm. The car feels like a rocket ship between 3,000 and 6,000 rpm which is where I do 90% of my driving. This tune clearly is on the same par as the SC pulley. All of my other "attempted" performance mods such as my $1,000 IC and $350.00 TB were a waste of money. For about $1500 dollars you can get a pulley, CAI, one-ball exhaust, rear sway bar and Jan's tune and your car will kill 95% percent of the tuned MINIs. Jan can be reached at www.revolutionmini.com or at 949-456-9590. He has been doing dyno tuning days all over the US so no one is out of reach for this fabulous tune.

I agree... all this positive news will ruin my reputation that others have worked so hard slagging me through emails and pms........ what will they do now?
I have to call him tomorrow.
There is a shop here in the Bay Area that has a dyno and is MINI friendly.
Well???????
Jim
hmmmm...i was thinking about seeing them for a GIAC tune. I should call tomorrow for the info......

I might be down for a tune if we can get Jan up here.
I think Edge Motorsport in Dublin has a dyno and they work on Minis.
