Many details still to be firmed up, but Jan gave me a price of $350 plus the cost of the dyno time. IMO, that's a smokin' price for a custom tune. First post updated.

Thanks Jan.

So what are we looking at for dyno time? Is it by pull?

No, it's one fee to rent it for the day, divided by however many can attend/get tuned.

I can't take credit for that. Jan's very reasonable & generous with his time.

Still working on firming up a date between Jan & the dyno shop. Feel free to post your preferences.

I really don't have any preferences because I know it's going to be hard to finagle the two together. December would be great so that I can wear in the new clutch but I can hold off if the date is in November.

December for sure. Preferably after the 16th, I get back to the states on the 15th. I have a long boring winter vacation ahead, so might as well hang with other MINI owners for a few days.

Sounds like a good deal, especially if you get Way. Count me in pending date selection.

add me to a "Dallas list" if you need more people, I'm only 3 hours away. Indianapolis is just a bit too far away for this...

How much extra for Way to do the prelim inspection/preparation?

That would really facilitate the event timing.

He might have to install an occasional belt.

It'd be great to have him for expediting the Atlanta event...

Yes, he's planning on attending the Atlanta session. He told me so last night at the shop.

If anybody is interested in mods during or prior to the tuning session, just drop Waylen of WayMotorWorks a call/PM/email and he'll get you set up.

Dyno info coming early next week.

Someone sent me a link to a rather lively discussion about this topic which might make for interesting reading. Warning not suitable for the workplace or small children.

I see you're back in full force, stirring up more drama . Maybe you should ask Don why he's posting under an alias in that thread? We've traced his IP to that account...

Mark, I talked to Jan yesterday. Sounds like this is what I've been wanting to do for a while now, and I can't wait

Good to hear. I talked to Way at SEMA and he was gonna see Jan later. Things are falling into place. Just waiting on the Dyno info from Way now and we can set a date.

I left a message with Way...I've got a DT BPV, and springs I'm thinking about installing. Didn't know if we could do that the day of the dyno tune or not. I'm also thinking of picking up a swaybar from him as well.

Mark, any new info? I've also got to decide on upgrading my injectors, or leaving them alone...

talk to jan before putting more mods on imo. I'd doubt that way will have much if any free time to do anything other then tech at the dyno day at least he wouldn't have at our dyno day.
