help me find out whats on my car

well the other day i raced a 03 cooper (john works one)...anyways my cooper S is an Auto and only has a intake and exhaust that i kno of...and boths cars where the same speed wize on the freeway i didnt pull him he didnt pull me...is that normal for a cooper s with bolt ons to be as fast as a jcw cooper S?

also would my car also have other mods that i might not kno of?

First off, I would be careful with how you use the word "racing." Anything illegal here is discouraged (for good reason). Keep "racing" to the track.

Aside from that, yes, it is possible for a Cooper S with modifications to be as fast as a JCW. With only your intake and exhaust though, not likely.

also would my car also have other mods that i might not kno of?
Seriously, how should someone answer this question? Yes? No? How should we know. I don't know who you bought it from, who else owned it, etc.

Racing on the streets= ignorant/immature

But anyways....you could easily have a pulley or some kind of ECU tuning as they wouldn't be visually noticable. I would guess that the owner would have told you....but it is possible.

Open the hood and look at the supercharger pulley. It should be very easy to figure out whether it's aftermarket or OEM. Most aftermarket ones list the reduction % right on them.
