I own a non-convertible 03 mcs and I would like to know if a complete engine from a convertible 05 mcs would fit my car. Are there any major differences ? and if so what are they ?. I melted 2 pistons and I need a complete engine ... Thanks in advance. Calvin

 

Man, I am sorry to hear that. I wish that I could help you, but I am not sure. All that I can suggest is that if you find out they will swap, then check ebay. They have full engines that pop up on there quite a bit and most have low miles and some come with the M45.

 

I actually found someone selling a 05 engine swap and before buying it I need to know if it will fit.

One difference would be the passenger side mount, which should interchange as long as you don't try to mix the way each one is setup.

 

any other major differences or that's it ?
