i'd be careful with the Cut-outs... I was looking to do the same for my turbo s2k.So i could keep it quiet when i wanted, then up the boost and blow the doors off cars when i wanted some fun.

Unfortunatly, they are not very reliable. The blade, which is basically a electronic throttle body loses its perfect seal and will start to leak... also, depending on where you set it up, the cutout can crack and break its welds... It also can mess up your tune, depending on what you did with the ECU!

Mike,

Keep your eye open, you can find a used cat back for cheap if you are patient enuff. I sold an Alta for 250 over the summer....they are out there. Dump valves just are not the same thing & should never be used on the street or for the track in my opinon. They are not truely free-flowing. If you are really budget minded, go talk to a mufflershop and ask them what they could do for a 2.5" system for. Just use aluminized mild steel for piping and pick up a decent freeflowing muffler. I am sure they could probably do it for around 250~300.
