17% pulley

Please dont beat my *** for this. I know this issue of pulley sizes is getting old. I did do a search and there are so many post i just dont have the hours to look thru them so here i go . I would like to try a 17% pulley on my stock S using a 17% pulley is there any thing else recomended to do when using this size pulley.
I have heard colder plugs, plug and wires, belt. What do YOU think? I do plan to use a gatorback belt but other then that let me have it.

thanks

I run 17%.

I have colder plugs, larger injectors (380 cc jcw), and GIAC software. It pulls a lot smoother and doesn't knock NEARLY as often. And yes, it will be a lot quicker . I envy your tranny. The 06 will be speedier than mine!

One stage cooler plugs, injectors, and a flash will have you smokin the tires. these will make sure you dont run lean, a problem with 17% and smaller pulleys.

some other mods to look at would be a cold air intake and exhaust. many companies offer package deals that will have most of this stuff. here are a couple:

personally I am running the madness stage 2+ lots of extras. enjoy.

True, the must haves are the pulley (or a 15% S/C and 2% crank for better belt wrap), double check the tensioner for wear, new belt, some brand of puller to get the old one off. Spark plugs are a great idea (and inexpensive for the benefit), injecotrs (when paired with proper ECU tuning) are also nice additions. But for sure doing a 17% without an ALTA intake would be a shame :-) Seriously though that much extra wind will really require more incoming air to have it work properly.

Let me/us know if we can help further. Enjoy the new power when you get it!
