Drivetrain question about TSW damper
question about TSW damper
I am trying to install this right now. I am almost finished, and the directions say that the damper should not freely rotate on the heim joints. Mine turns slightly in either direction. only on the front end of the damper though, the rear heim joint is locked in place. did i do something wrong or is this normal?
it only turns about 1/16 to 1/8 of a turn in either direction before the heim hits on either the bolt head or the conical washer on the other side.

TSW Damper...
I just looked at mine, which I installed @ a month ago.Mine is set up just like yours, which makes sense to me.
The front heim joint should be able to move around with the engine, and the rear should be stable with the chassis. So,now,I'll have to keep an eye on this thread!
ok, that makes me feel a little better. I dont see any other way of keeping it still. its just the last paragraph on the instructions threw me off a bit by saying "freely rotate"
Read again. It says the damper should freely rotate. It would defeat the purpose of a heim joint if it cannot rotate (within its limits of course, until it hits the bracket).
