Drivetrain Should QS tip be vibrating??
No it should not vibrate in idle. You need to go back to check all of the connections and clamps, make sure nothing is rubbing or hitting where it should not be. If you got the QS through randy then give him a call to trouble shoot.
If someone else did the installation then have them check everything and make sure that something has not shifted or come loose on the way home after the install.
I have QS and it does not vibrate at all when idling or otherwise.

I installed my Quicksilver the other day. I also had a vibration at idle. I think you will find the tip is against your rear valance. I adjusted mine yesterday and that took care of it. Just loosen the 2 clamps while it is cold and you can adjust it a little. I also pushed my tip in a little. It was out 2" and now it is 1 1/4".
fwiw, I've noticed that with certain combos of air conditioning and idle speed my Magnaflow trumpets will vibrate. Not very often, but noticeable when it happens!
The entire catback mounts to rubber hangers (except attachment to cat) so I'm fairly certain it's normal at times of funky backpressure induced by the air conditioner.

My QS also vibrates occasionally at idle, and I had a muffler shop install it.
The personality of the QS (and others I am sure) is so dependent on the environment (air temp, muffler temp, engine speed, humidity, etc.) that I quit trying to figure it out.
Sometimes at idle it's super quiet, other times it rattles like it's going to fall off.
Sometimes at highway speeds I can't even hear it, other times it sounds like I have a straight pipe. Just make sure the connections are tight.

>>im not sure, but is the QS tip suppose to vibrate when it is in idle?
Not sure about the QS, but I know someone with a Pearl and the whole thing vibrats.

I have the same problem ... adjusted and adjusted took it to R Speed yesterday and they adjusted it .... still vibrates VIOLENTLY (expecially with a/c on!)
they said it was the nature of the beast... not enough hangers.
i'm considering having another hanger welded on just to cut down on the comments from friends following me like: "i decided i'd better keep my distance in case your muffler fell off hahaha" grrrrrrrr ...
let me know if you find a solution!

>>i moved the heat shield and the vibration stopped from the interior, but the Tip keeps shaking while in idle... is it normal for the tip to shake violently??

I have checked my Quicksilver and it does not vibrate at all. It must depend on the way it is installed and how it hangs. The vibrations from the engine and whether it resonates like a musical string does in a piano. Maybe rehang it or could just be the way the particular copy of the QS you got. Strange stuff. This is not a common thing but it does happen. Maybe email RandyBMC for suggestions. Good luck
my latest solution to the vibration problem (still a work in progress) is using a couple of universal exhaust hangers (and using a 3rd for the center strap) from pep boys. mounts to the existing unused hanger bolts in about 20min. for under $10. now when the a/c compressor kicks in at a stop light people don't point and laugh anymore
oops i forgot that i can't attach an image here.. if you want to see it... just do a search for "quicksilver vibration" at mini2.com forums. you'll see the thread.
