i haven't generated a thrust chart, but i guess i will now.

thanks for the input
You can't tell anything about shift points from a dyno plot without knowing the gear ratios. What I did in the article is make the thrust plots with all gears all rpms with thrust on the verticle axis, and speen on the horizontal axis. Maximizing thrust is just choosing whichever gear gives maximum thrust at any given speed. The only time that you'd hold a gear past these points is if some event (finish line, break point, whatever) would come up before you'd overtake the hit you take by coasting during the shift with the improved acceleration.

Fortunately, in the last three HPDEs I participated, I passed the Porsches, Elises, M cars, etc., not the other way around.

And yep, I attribute some of that to the LDG tune. No doubt about it.
I passed a C5 Vette my first time out and I didn't have a LDG tune.

I guess Grandma was nervous in her new Vette.

thanks Matt: i think that i get it. i will do my own thrust chart given my dyno plot, gear ratios, tire sizes etc. the thinking behind my last post was that, although generic, the data seemed to point toward shifting at redline. this is the contradiction to which i referred. i'll let all know my results. i will also compare that to my SOP emprical findings!

Hot day mean hot motor and lower #'s. They did my ecu for just a 15% pully and i only got 179whp and was still kinda running rich hit 10.0a/f and im in MD. I payd $450 and dont like the tune have to get a better one. But the good thing about them is they tune safe so your car will last.
