How does stock software go past 6800 RPM? Don't you have to change or tune something in the ECU in order for this to happen?
The car was ran to 7000 rpm on all runs on stock software. I have never had anything done to the ECU

Then why does your dyno sheet only go to 6800 on one run and 7000 on another?? That's cool that your mini came with stock software up to 7000!! must of been a fluke from mini or something

Isn't 6800 the limit of a stock car?

I wasn't thinking when I told the guy running the dyno to make the runs in fourth and to run it to 7000. Now that I think about it I did notice an abrupt sound just as he was letting off the gas during the runs . Maybe 7000rpms in where the ECU cuts power if you happen to over rev past 6800.

what im surprised about is the afr with the JCW injectors! from what ive read the stock ecu will run super pig rich with the 380's
Im not runnig 380cc injectors, I'm still running stock 330cc injectors.

other way around. 9-10 is rich 14-16 is lean.

Thanks for clearing that up for me

Ripper,

Welcome to the haters club. People still don't believe I pulled 231 with the stock ECU. We must have done some kind of vodo to get those numbers.

The average head improvement before the Jesus head came out was 15-20HP.

The fact that you got a 19.2 HP gain in 95 degree heat with 90% humidity over your original 70 degree day dyno is awesome.

I just find it odd that no one else has been able to do it with the RMW head and the basic mods you had at the time.

The true numbers will be seen as soon as we get acouple of 70degree days and I can get back on the dyno. As soon as I see a weather forcast that say's it will be in the low 70's I will schedule another run. hoplefully that will happen before the GIAC tune is done and I find out what size injectors to run.
Of corse at the rate it's taken so far to get a tune done I don't think that's going to be a problem

You're sounding like a proper drag racer now Longboard, blaming the weather for a lack of power thats the advantage of drag racing over dyno racing you can blame the weather, track and driver

Dyno racing you cant blame the weather if the figures are corrected.

Its a bit strange this one, its like there is something else totally wrong, boost leak etc etc

I admit to getting caught up in it. I shouldn't have.

I no longer flame. I just get flamed and take it like a man.
