Gruppe M intake for r56

Good news! Gruppe M just released an intake for our R56 . I cannot wait to get one for my MINI. Anybody have one already? Any reviews?

Its probably so expensive because of all the carbon fiber used and that little serial number badge you get. I would never spend that much for an intake though...

GruppeM makes some beautiful air intakes.
they have been making Ferrari & Porsche intakes for a long time.
very high quality, and great CF weaves. just very pricey parts.

Looks very nice, I was wondering what company would be the first to come up with this design.
Save your money boys.

Prototype is done , production about 2 months possibly less. At this stage I do not want to commit to more info but will do so with photos etc. at the earliest possible time . I just wanted to make you aware that there are other options around the corner .

Yep, there are options. We have been in prototype for about 2 months now, and I am building jigs for this and the cat-back next week.

We are doing a stainless SportBox with an optional RAF bit that uses the hood scoop. Should be ready in less than a month, but no promises.

Man... they had me up until I saw the price!

900 Euros is more like $1200-1300 US Dollars right now.

Kind of in the "you gotta be f#$%ing kidding" area IMO.

Exactly what i had in my mind since the first time i saw a R56!

I wonder if the original intake for the stock airbox is still there...you know...for rainy days when u put on the cap on the scoop...
