Drivetrain SOON TO BE BAPTIZED BY THE JESUS HEAD
+1
Of course I do. When I got a CNC-ed head on my car (with the standard valve train) I was 197 HP and ~160 ft/lbs of torque. After the tune I was 223hp and ~180 ft/lbs of torque (with a clutch that was slipping like no tomorrow).
The stock ECU map is in no way able to really make use of all the new airflow with a modified head. All the magic comes on when you tell the ECU (through whatever means, a flash to the stock ECU would be best) about the new operating parameters.

I understand but if we simplify it to flow numbers only the RMW head has the highest flow numbers..... (chart was circulated at the Dragon)
The head was at the Dragon and admired by all who saw it including the competition.... Eric, Ryan, Sid and a whole host of others were very impressed with the head.....(which I think is the one on my car with high temp valves) I think it is pretty safe to say that this is a very nice head..... and superior to most including the one that I took off..... I will know more and post the good, the bad and the ugly next week....
You have a point Bob, and as we discussed, you're car is the exception to the rule.
I finally found the Helix dyno chart...
Here it is.
You also might want to note that the Helix car had a 17% pulley versus a 15% on RIPPER. The Helix car also had a GIAC tune, while RIPPER doesn't make any mention if he had a tune or not.
So it seems based on his car setup that the gain is completely reasonable.
