I got this reply to an enquiry as to these plugs being suitable for Minis
Hi Paul,
Thanks for your interest in the Halo Spark Plug and for your inquiry.
Unfortunately, at the present time, we don't recommend use of our plugs
in vehicles with supercharged engines. Below is an excerpt from the FAQ
page of our Web site explaining the reason for this. This FAQ page was not
available at the time you visited our site.
Why can't I use the Halo on my Turbo or Supercharged auto?
The Halo plugs can be used in all North American vehicles except Turbo
or Supercharged engines. The problem may occur in vehicles with these
engines if they are run at 5,000 rev/min for a period of time. The current Halo
Plug may not be able to dissipate the extreme amount of heat generated. That
is highly unlikely in the U.S., otherwise the vehicle owner is breaking
the law by driving at over 100 miles per hour for a period of time.
Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
If you have any other questions or if I can be of further help, please
contact me.
Thanks and have a great week!
Sincerely,
Bruno Presutti
